Eagles edge Auburn in soccer match

The Oak Mountain High School girls’ soccer team edged Auburn 2-1 in high school soccer action Feb. 21.

Toni Payne scored both goals for the Eagles, who improved to 6-0 overall this season.

Bailee Harnett recorded an assist on the game-winning goal on a corner kick in the 79th minute.

Oak Mountain goalkeeper Jill Hester finished with seven saves in the victory.
