The Montevallo High School baseball team defeated West Blocton 8-3 in high school baseball action March 1.

Preston Burns led the Bulldogs at the plate as he went 3-for-3 and scored three runs.

Chase Hamrick went 2-for-3 at the plate with an RBI and a stolen base. Zack Sweat finished 2-for-2 at the plate and drove in one run.

Trevor Chatham earned the win on the mound after giving up three earned runs on five hits with three strikeouts and a walk in four innings. Hamrick recorded two strikeouts without giving up a hit in three scoreless innings in relief.
