The Chelsea High School baseball team defeated Calera 10-3 in high school baseball action March 3.

With Calera leading 2-1 going into the bottom of the third inning, Chelsea’s offense came to life. The Hornets scored four runs in the third inning and four more in the fourth.

Austin Dean led Chelsea at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs.

Keelan Gregg was 1-for-3 with two RBIs. Davis Shoemaker went 1-for-3 with a triple. Matthew Graben and Eli Bashour each had one hit.

Ross Ham pitched five strong innings, giving up two runs on three hits with five walks and three strikeouts. Matthew Graben pitched the final two innings, giving up one run while recording three strikeouts and threw walks.

Chelsea fell to Mortimer Jordan 7-5.

Davis Shoemaker led Chelsea at the plate as he went 1-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs.

Graben, Bashour and Dean each had hits in the loss.

Joey Mock to the loss on the mound after going 1 1/3 innings. Shoemaker pitched one inning and Alex Dean finished the final 4 2/3 innings.
