Rebels finish unbeaten at Border Wars

The Coosa Valley Academy baseball team finished undefeated March 3 in the Border Wars tournament March 3.
The Rebels defeated Gatewood School (Ga.) 10-0 in their opening game of the tournament.
Garrett McMillan led Coosa Valley (7-2) at the plate as he went 3-for-4 with a double and drove in two runs.
Cody Wood finished 2-for-3 at the plate with a double and drove in three runs. Myles Varner went 2-for-3 and drove in two runs.
Allen Logan went 2-for-4 and drove in one run. Steven Cryer and Hunter Winslett each finished 1-for-3 at the plate.
Logan (3-0) earned the win on the mound after pitching a one-hit shutout with nine strikeouts.
Coosa Valley defeated Westfield (Ga.) 6-1 in its second game of the tournament.
McMillan led the Rebels at the plate as he went 1-for-3 with a double and drove in two runs.
Cryer finished 1-for-2 and drove in a run. Hickman also went 1-for-2.
Austin Tatum earned the win after giving up one earned run with two strikeouts in four innings. Hunter Winslett finished with two strikeouts in the final two innings.
