The Briarwood Christian School boys’ tennis team fell to Cullman 5-4 in high school tennis action March 6.

The Lions won three singles’ matches and one doubles’ match against Cullman.

Griffin Russell of Briarwood Christian fell to Clint Watson of Cullman 6-1, 6-3 in the No. 1 singles’ match. Russell Hancock of Briarwood Christian defeated Baylor Adams of Cullman 6-1, 7-5 in the No. 2 singles’ match.

Philip Taylor of Briarwood Christian defeated Jacob Baker of Cullman 6-1, 5-7, 10-5 in the No. 3 singles’ match. Daniel Kuyk of Briarwood Christian defeated Jacob Davis of Cullman 6-2, 6-1 in the No. 4 singles’ match.

Lukas Castellanos of Briarwood Christian fell to Ryan Hunt of Cullman 6-4, 6-3 in the No. 5 singles’ match. Connor Brewton of Briarwood Christian fell to Matt Davis of Cullman 1-6, 6-4, 12-10 in the No. 6 singles’ match.

Russell and Hancock defeated Watson and Adams 10-7 in the No. 1 doubles’ match. Taylor and Kuyk fell to Baker and Davis 11-10 (7-3) in the No. 2 doubles’ match.

Castellanos and Brewton fell to Hunt and Davis 10-8 in the No. 3 doubles’ match.

Mary Judson Tarrence of Briarwood Christian fell to Allison Howell of Cullman 6-2, 6-0 in the No. 1 singles’ match. Olivia Odom of Briarwood Christian fell to McKenzie Bussman of Cullman 6-2, 6-3 in the No. 2 singles’ match.

Ann Ellison Tarrence of Briarwood Christian fell to Kelsie Morgan of Cullman 6-2, 6-0 in the No. 3 singles’ match. Lauren Bowers of Briarwood Christian defeated Briley Baker of Cullman 7-5, 6-4 in the No. 4 singles’ match.

Sellers Mulvaney of Briarwood Christian fell to Olivia Sharpton of Cullman 7-5, 6-1 in the No. 5 singles’ match. Ashton Henderson of Briarwood Christian defeated Makrara Smith of Cullman 7-6, 7-5 in the No. 6 singles’ match.
