The Pelham High School softball team defeated Mountain Brook 4-1 in high school softball action March 6.

Caitlyn Sapp led the Panthers at the plate as she finished 2-for-3 with a homer. Sapp drove in two runs and scored two runs in the victory.

Erin Whitman finished 1-for-3 at the plate with a double and drove in two runs. Kristen Foster went 1-for-3 and scored two runs. Mary Morgan Dramer finished 1-for-4 at the plate.

Emily Spain earned the win after giving up one earned run on six hits with three strikeouts and a walk in five innings.

Jennifer Davis allowed just one hit with three strikeouts and a walk in two innings in relief.
