Jaguars fall to Vestavia Hills in tennis match

The Spain Park High School boys’ tennis team fell to Vestavia Hills 8-1 in high school tennis action March 7.

Sam Lorino of Spain Park defeated Garrett Fallon of Vestavia Hills 10-8 in the No. 6 singles’ match in the Jaguars’ lone victory.

Jack Nicholas of Spain Park fell to Jeffrey Holcombe of Vestavia Hills 11-10 (10-8) in the No. 1 singles’ match. Will Hartsock of Spain Park fell to Caleb Cantrell of Vestavia Hills 10-4 in the No. 2 singles’ match.

Brit Sovic of Spain Park fell to Paul Taylor of Vestavia Hills 11-9 in the No. 3 singles’ match. Whalen Merrill of Spain Park fell to John Morson of Vestavia Hills 10-6 in the No. 4 singles’ match.

Baylor Cocke of Spain Park fell to Jack Patton of Vestavia Hills 10-6 in the No. 5 singles’ match.

Nicholas and Hartsock fell to Holcombe and Leo Richard of Vestavia Hills 10-4 in the No. 1 doubles’ match. Sovic and Merrill fell to Morson and Cantrell 10-3 in the No. 2 doubles’ match.

Cocke and Lorino fell to Taylor and Patton 10-6 in the No. 3 doubles’ match.
