Panthers sweep Sparkman in doubleheader

The Pelham High School baseball team swept Sparkman in a doubleheader in high school baseball action March 10.
The Panthers (14-0) defeated Sparkman 1-0 in the opener.
Jackson Pruitt led Pelham as he finished 2-for-2 at the plate.
Ty Pierce went 1-for-3 and drove in a run. Fletcher Johnson finished 1-for-3 and scored a run.
Thomas Lowery earned the win on the mound after giving up just four hits with five strikeouts and two walks in a complete-game shutout.
Pelham defeated Sparkman 8-1 in the nightcap.
Pruitt led the Panthers at the plate as he went 2-for-3 and drove in three runs.
Johnson finished 2-for-3 with an RBI and scored two runs. Parker Curry, who drove in one run and scored one run, finished 1-for-2 at the plate.
Chase Brashier earned the win on the mound after giving up just two hits with a strikeout in four innings.
