Jaguars drop doubleheader with Pell City

The Spain Park High School baseball team dropped a doubleheader with Pell City in high school baseball action March 13.

The Jaguars fell to Pell City 6-5 in the opener.

Mikey White homered for Spain Park.

Colton Freeman went 2-for-4 with a double. Josh Close finished 1-for-5 and scored a run. Hunter Hall went 1-for-4 and scored a run.

Grant Veteto finished 1-for-3 at the plate and drove in two runs. Brandon Marley went 1-for-3 and drove in a run. Hunter Kahn and Paul Angel scored one run each.

White took the loss after giving up one earned run on two hits with a strikeout in 1/3 of an inning.

Hall started on the mound and gave up two earned runs on five hits with three strikeouts and a walk in three innings.

Spain Park fell to Pell City 4-0 in the nightcap.

Hall, White and Marley recorded one hit each for the Jaguars.

Dustin Cowart took the loss after giving up three runs, including one earned run, on three hits with three strikeouts and two walks in four innings.

John Crawford allowed one earned run on one hit with three strikeouts and a walk in two innings in relief.
