The Spain Park High School softball team edged Oak Mountain 4-2 in eight innings in high school softball action March 27.

Caroline Holmes led the Jaguars offensively as she went 3-for-4 at the plate.

Casey Craig finished 1-for-3 at the plate with a double and drove in two runs. Erin Hornsby went 1-for-3 at the plate with a triple and scored two runs.

Haleigh Sisson earned the win in the circle after giving up two runs, including one earned run, on seven hits with one walk in a complete-game victory.

Caroline Seitz led Oak Mountain offensively as she went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and drove in one run.

Anne Thomaston took the loss in the circle after giving up four earned runs on seven hits with four strikeouts and two walks in a complete game.
