The Pelham High School girls’ tennis team defeated Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa 8-1 in high school tennis action April 3.

Sidney Garner of Pelham defeated Lauren McQuillan of Hillcrest 10-7 in the No. 1 singles’ match. Sarah Beth Dolinger of Pelham defeated Maggie Tinsley 10-4 in the No. 2 singles’ match.

Katie Kema of Pelham defeated Amanda Nelson of Hillcrest 11-10 (7-5) in the No. 3 singles’ match. Leanna Cocke of Pelham defeated Meghan Adamcyk of Hillcrest 10-7 in the No. 4 singles’ match.

Whitney Hamner of Pelham defeated Sarah Tisdale of Hillcrest 10-6 in the No. 5 singles’ match. Elizabeth Hartzog of Pelham fell to Anna Porter of Hillcrest 11-10 (7-5) in the No. 6 singles’ match.

Garner and Kema fell to McQuillan and Nelson 8-6 in the No. 1 doubles’ match. Dolinger and Brooke Cole of Pelham fell to Tinsley and Adamcyk of Hillcrest 8-4 in the No. 2 doubles’ match.

Hamner and Hartzog fell to Kacy Howard and Katy Howard of Hillcrest 8-6 in the No. 3 doubles’ match.
