Six up for seat on Hoover Board of Education

HOOVER — Six applicants will interview for an upcoming open seat on the Hoover Board of Education.

Those six are Thomas Alan Hill, the director of the Alabama Technology Network Birmingham Center; Steve McClinton, who owns McClinton and Company, a financial services company; Sabrina Lewis, a court reporter for the U.S. District Court of Birmingham; Stephen D. Presley, president of Landscape Workshop, LLC; Robin Schultz, a senior systems engineer with Alabama Psychiatric Services; and Shane Clark Street, an associate chemistry professor at the University of Alabama.

Longtime school board member Bill Veitch will not seek another term.

The Hoover City Council will hold interviews for the open seat April 12 beginning at 2:30 p.m. at the Hoover Municipal Building.

The City Council is expected to make an appointment at the regularly scheduled April 16 council meeting.
