Jaguars top Oak Mountain in tennis match

The Spain Park High School boys’ tennis team defeated Oak Mountain 9-0 in high school tennis action April 11.

Spain Park senior Jack Nicholas, a member of the Jaguars’ varsity team since the seventh grade, defeated Preston Touliatos of Oak Mountain in the No. 1 singles’ match, which marked his final home match.

Will Hartsock of Spain Park defeated Kyle Ehlers of Oak Mountain 10-7 in the No. 2 singles’ match. Brit Sovic of Spain Park defeated Hunter Dodson of Oak Mountain 10-7 in the No. 3 singles’ match.

Whalen Merrill of Spain Park defeated Kody Ehlers of Oak Mountain 11-10 (10-6) in the No. 4 singles’ match. Baylor Cocke of Spain Park defeated J.K. Keasler of Oak Mountain 10-2 in the No. 5 singles’ match.

Sam Lorino of Spain Park defeated Brian Deason of Oak Mountain 10-8 in the No. 6 singles’ match.

Nicholas and Hartsock defeated Touliatos and Dodson 11-10 (10-4) in the No. 1 doubles’ match. Sovic and Merrill defeated Kyle Ehlers and Kody Ehlers 10-6 in the No. 2 doubles’ match.

Cocke and Lorino defeated Keasler and Deason 10-2 in the No. 3 doubles’ match.
