Eva Lucas, age 85, of Montevallo passed away Saturday, April 14, 2012.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Lewis Lucas Sr.; daughter, Priscilla Randolph (Herman); also beloved son-in-law, Johnny W. Ethridge; and sister, Naomi Robertson (Hubert).

Eva is survived by her daughters, Gail Ethridge, Marie Early (Lloyd), Sylvia Hamilton (Roy), Gabriella Jacobs and Cindy Cooper; son, James Lewis Lucas Jr. (Flora Mae); daughter, Mary Colleen Hughes (Henry McCartney); loving sister, Rosetta Russ; beloved friends, Robert Brewer (Sandra) and Colleen Mitchell; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Rockco Funeral Home Montevallo from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Rockco Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Draper and Rev. Scott Bush officiating. Interment will follow at Union United Methodist Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include James Lucas Jr., Don Bean, John Brooks, Earl McCartney, Shannon Hyde, B.J. Lucas, Chris Hope, Roy Hamilton, Little Robbie and Nick Fowler.
