Edward Lee McCann Sr.

Edward Lee McCann Sr. was born April 25, 1933, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the age of 78. Edward, who worked for U.S. Steel, was a professional horticulturalist and an AA sponsor for 33 years.

He was preceded in death by his son, Edward McCann Jr. He is survived by his daughter, Sherry McCann (Phillip Williams); three grandchildren, Daniel Edward Redmond, Heather Rhiannon Chere’ Rylant and Amanda Lee Moore; and four great-grandchildren, Skylar, Samantha, Mathew and Bentley.

Visitation will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Monday, April 23, 2012 from noon-1 p.m., with a memorial service beginning at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Alabama National Cemetery following the service.
