George Franklin White, age 79, a native and long-time resident of Shelby County, current resident of Rockford, died on Thursday, April 26, 2012. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Bolton Funeral Home, Columbiana with Rev. Jeff Hardy officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, April 28, 2012, from noon-2 p.m. at Bolton Funeral Home.

Mr. White is preceded in death by his three brothers, Marion White, James White and Charles White and six sisters, Velma Hutton, Christine Davis, Lil Estes, Sarah Murphy, Willie Davis and Mary Lou White. He is survived by his wife, Daisy Reynolds White; children, Bonnie White Franklin, Steve White (Susan), Ryan White (Starr) and Glenda White Shaw (Ricky); grandchildren, Joey Rivers, Nicholas White (Molly), Amber White Boyd (Brian), Hunter Shaw, TJ Shaw, Forrest White and Noah White; great-grandchildren, Marlee Boyd and Luke White; brothers, Reed White Sr. and Joseph White; sisters, Lura Curtis and Clemmie Lee Davis; and numerous other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
