Linda Joyce Carter, 69, of Childersburg passed away April 26, 2012 in her residence.

The funeral service was April 29 at 2 p.m. at Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel with Rev. Paul Hickman officiating. Burial followed in Greenhill Cemetery.

Mrs. Carter is survived by son Shane Carter of Harpersville; daughter Kelly Murphy and husband Keith of Childersburg; special daughter Mandi Phillips and husband Josh of Childersburg; three grandchildren, Alibug, Kelli and Josh; two great-grandchildren, Madisyn and Walker; brother Harry Ruddy; and sisters Banona Woodard, Sylvia Robinson and Nancy Andrews.

She was preceded in death by brother Billy Ruddy. She attended Calvary Baptist Church and was a very loving mother and grandmother. Pallbearers were family and friends.
