The Spain Park High School girls’ golf team finished runner-up in an Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 6A section tournament May 1 at Lakewood Golf Course in Phenix City.

The Jaguars carded a team score of 251 strokes, which placed Spain Park eight strokes behind tournament winner Auburn.

Spain Park qualified for a Class 6A sub-state tournament May 7 at Moores Mill Golf Club in Auburn.

The Jaguars’ Morgan Natale captured the Class 6A individual section title with her 1-over par 73 in the tournament.

Caroline Gurley carded a 10-over par 82. Jenna Pickering shot a 97, while Haven Eddy carded a 98 in the tournament.

Pelham finished sixth in the section tournament with a team score of 333 strokes.

Grayson Gladden led the Panthers with her 10-over par 82.

Emily Rames finished with a score of 119, while Brittany Boyd shot a 132.
