FROM STAFF REPORTS

Meet Cherry and Mallory. They are this week’s featured pets from Shelby Humane Society. Cherry is a 2-year-old labrador retriever/pit bull terrier mix with adorable white and black markings, a fantastic personality and an endless supply of love and kisses.

She wants to cuddle and get belly rubs from everyone she meets, so she will need practice walking on her leash without rolling over every few minutes! Cherry is eager to please and incredibly trainable, so obedience training with this smart girl will certainly strengthen your bond with her.

Mallory is a 6-year-old, medium/long haired black cat looking for a quiet and peaceful place of her own.

With both beauty and confidence, it is easy to understand why Mallory knows she is a princess. She is most content when she gets her way, so she would do best in a single-pet household/kingdom. She has become a staff favorite during her long tenure as a shelter pet, but it is time for Mallory to get the love and attention she deserves.

If Cherry or Mallory could be the right pet for you, or if you have questions about taking on a new pet, please call us at 669-3916 ext. 21 for more information. We also invite you to visit our shelter in Columbiana Tuesday-Saturday from noon-5:30 p.m. and we will help you find your perfect match. Choose Shelby Humane Society and help save a life!
