CALERA – The Alabama Department of Transportation will conduct bridge inspections on the Interstate 65 bridges in Calera between Alabama 25 and the Chilton County line May 24.

Due to the inspections, the outside, right lane and shoulder will be closed in the area of the inspection. After ALDO inspects the southbound bridge, the northbound bridge will be inspected, according to a press release.

All travel lanes will be reopened to traffic no later than 3 p.m., the release stated.

ALDOT will inspect the Interstate 65 bridges over Buxahatchee Creek at milepost 227.6.
