Leon “Lee” W. Bryant, age 59, born and raised in Leeds and a resident of Alabaster, passed away May 28, 2012.

Bryant

Mr. Bryant was a supervisor for the city of Homewood for 26 years. The most important part of life to Mr. Bryant was his family and friends. He was a true Christian and known for his big, kind and generous heart. He served his country during the Vietnam War with the U.S. Army.

He is preceded in death by his father, George William Bryant. He is survived by his wife, Linda S. Bryant; mother, Jimmie Sue Smith; children, Stephanie Bryant Williams (Jon), Shannon Bryant Panos (Jeremy), Amber Bryant Bollinger, Jarred Bryant (Erika), and Floyd Needham; stepson, Rob L. Nelson; grandchildren, Cassidee and Clayton Williams, Will and Caitlin Tice, Jorden Brown, Donna, Jack and Kaydence Bollinger; brothers, Timmy Bryant and Jeff Bryant (Tammy); sister, Barbara Atkinson (Curtis); and numerous other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, June 2, 2012 at 3 p.m. with burial in Mt. Heberon in Leeds. Rev. James Aycox and Rev. Curtis Atkinson officiating. Visitation will be held on June 1 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
