Mark Anthony Epperson

Mark Anthony Epperson, age 60, a resident of Montevallo passed away June 8, 2012 at his home after a two-year battle with a rare cancer.

Mr. Epperson was the Operations Manager at Woodgrain Distribution for 42 years. He was a Christian man who valued his family and friends and led by example. He was loved dearly by all. A few of his hobbies were golf and fishing. He also loved spending weekends at Lay Lake with his wife and sweetheart, Shirlene.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Lois Epperson of Brierfield; brothers Roy Epperson (Sandy) and Mike Epperson (Donna); and son, Brad Stephen Epperson. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Shirlene Morgan Epperson; son, David Westley Epperson; brothers, Rex Epperson (Wanda) and Ted Epperson (Joanne); sisters, Jo Ann Blackwell and Debbie Spears (James); numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends.

Vistation was held on June 10, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. and the funeral service was held on June 11, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Enon Baptist Church with visitation one hour prior to his service. Burial followed the service at Enon Cemetery. Officiating the service were Rev. Bill Trawick and Rev. Terry Smith.
