Grace Chelsea Church held its first camp at Hargis Retreat in Chelsea on June 15 and 16. Its theme was Camp One Rock and the focus was on building kids’ lives and relationships with Christ. Their days were packed with swimming, sports, canoing, art and other activities. The camp was directed by the Rev. Davy Stephenson, who has more than 12 years of Christian camping experience in several countries. Day campers ranged from age 3 years through 6 years and overnight campers from 8 to 12 years. Grace is looking to build on the success of this first camp and hopes to attract more campers from the Chelsea area next summer. Here, a group of campers, volunteers and leaders pose for a photo.
