ST. AUGUSTINE – The University of Montevallo volleyball team fell on the road at Flagler College 3-0 in a Peach Belt Conference match Sept. 29.

Flagler swept the Falcons in straight sets, 25-23, 27-25, 25-16.

Junior Michelle Carle led Montevallo (7-9 overall, 1-2 in Peach Belt Conference) with nine kills in the match.

Freshman Rebekah Phelps added eight kills. Junior Manyi Ati, who finished with three service aces, and sophomore Michelle Walker contributed five kills each. Senior Jordan Spinks finished with four kills, while sophomore Brianna Guzinski chipped in a pair of kills.

Junior Kaleigh Harvey posted a team-high 15 digs. Senior Betsy Stevenson finished with a team-high 22 assists in the match.

The Falcons return to action Oct. 5 with a Peach Belt Conference match against Lander University at 7 p.m. at BankTrust Arena.
