Montevallo falls in second round of super regionals

MONTGOMERY – The Montevallo Lady Dogs volleyball team saw their season end in the second round of the Class 3A South Super Regional Tournament on Oct. 27.
Montevallo won its first round match-up 25-19, 16-25, 25-18, 25-19 over Montgomery Catholic. Megan Draper led the Lady Dogs with 12 kills with McKenna Anderson adding eight kills and 29 digs. Sarah Hyde finished with six kills, 21 digs, three aces and two blocks.
Northside defeated the Lady Dogs in the second round of the tournament in a sweep, 25-18, 25-22, 26-24.
Draper finished with 10 kills in the loss.
Montevallo finishes the season with a 20-10 overall record.
