Indian Springs wins 3A sectional

TRUSSVILLE – The Indian Springs boys cross country team won the Class 3A, Section 3 meet held at Hewitt-Trussville on Nov. 1.
Logan Crowell paced Indian Springs to the title with a time of 18:10.24 to finish third in the individual standings. Crowell led a pack of four Indian Springs runners that finished in the top-10. Hill Balliet (fourth), Majd Habash (seventh) and Thomas Barr (10th) contributed to the championship run.
Indian Springs’ Victoria Saenz finished runner-up in the girls’ race to lead her team to a second place finish in the team standings. Jessie Hook took fourth with a time of 21:36.03 and Alice Marson was seventh with a time of 21:58.67.
Runners from the Indian Springs’ boys and girls teams qualified for the state championship meet on Nov. 10.
