SMITHS STATION – Glenwood Academy defeated the Kingwood Christian 51-25 in the Lady Lions’ season opener on Nov. 12.

Madelyn Pearce led Kingwood with eight points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals. Casey Whitmer finished with four points, four rebounds and four steals while Kenzie Greer added four points and three boards.

Glenwood’s E. Purdue led all scorers with 16 points.

Kingwood returns to action on Thursday at Coosa Valley Academy.
