Charlotte Muriel Poore Jackson, age 74, of Alabaster, passed away Nov. 7, 2012. She was born Nov. 16, 1937, in Jasper to Mary Adeline Clark and Norman Eldridge Poore. Charlotte graduated from Walker High School in Jasper before completing studies at Sylacauga School of Nursing to become a registered nurse. She began her nursing career at Community Hospital in Jasper, then married David Jackson and started nursing at Shelby Memorial Hospital in Alabaster where she helped bring many babies into this world.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. Survivors include three daughters, Sherrie Benson (Steve), Terrie Watts (Eddy) and Susan Pope (Mark); grandchildren, Perrie Watts, Jackson Watts, Coley Benson, Trudie Benson, Mary Mason Pope and Marshall Pope; brother, Ronnie Poore (Bonnie); sister, Betty Hudson (Willie); and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral was Nov. 9 at Ridout’s Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham with funeral service at 7 p.m. in Southern Heritage Chapel, Pelham. Graveside Service was at 11 a.m. on Nov. 10 at Oakhill Cemetery in Jasper. Arrangements by Ridout’s Southern Heritage Funeral Home, Pelham.
