Central Park Christian jumped out to a 19-8 halftime lead, and then overcame a late Evangel rally to hold on for a 41-30 win in a non-conference girls basketball game Nov. 27.

The Lightning dropped to 1-2 on the season with the loss, while Central Park remained unbeaten at 3-0.

Anna Byers led the way for Evangel with 12 points and a game high 16 rebounds. Bethany Letson added 11 points, all in the second half, and her three 3-pointers led the Lightning second half comeback.

Evangel plays next at Cullman Christian on Friday night.
