Houston Lamar “Bo” Baxley, age 67 of Shelby, passed away on Dec. 8, 2012, at his home. He was an Army veteran.

Bo was preceded in death by his parents, Houston Orlando Baxley and Velma Reeves Burrows.

He is survived by his daughters, Lori Shanahan and Diann Kearley; sons, Leonard L. Baxley and Daniel Peavy; sisters, Ann Meadows and Ruth Zumini; brothers, Robert Baxley and Glenn Baxley; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; ex-wife, Sandra Newton Lake; and many other loved ones.

Funeral services will be held Dec. 11 at 12:30 p.m. at Rockco Funeral Home Montevallo with Pastor Buddy Alexander officiating. Visitation will start at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Alabama National Cemetery at 1:15 p.m.
