A Helena mother and daughter recently brought a new boutique offering to the city after opening Reciprocity at Creekside Court near Papa Saia’s restaurant.

Gene Hales and her daughter, Raquel Echols, opened Reciprocity Boutique on Dec. 1 to bring a “breezy shopping environment” to Helena, said Echols.

“I am so excited about working here in Helena,” said Echols. “I fell in love with the area while in undergrad (at the University of Montevallo), and although I have traveled near and far, Helena has always held a special place in my heart.”

The shop, which was designed to offer a spaced out layout, offers clothing, accessories, Auburn and Alabama-themed items, handmade items and more.

“We also carry plus sizes, which no other boutique in the area offers,” Echols said, noting the store adds new inventory several times a week.

The store is located at 811 Creekside Court and is open from 10:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Tuesday-Friday, and from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on Saturdays.

For more information about the store, search for “Reciprocity Boutique” on Facebook.com, or call the store at 999-9322.
