Doris Jean Bearden, age 72, of Columbiana, passed away on Dec. 17, 2012. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Dec. 22 at First Baptist Church of Shelby.

Mrs. Bearden is preceded in death by her sons, Bobby Ray and Curtis Lee Bearden; and siblings, James Edward Nichols, Bobbie Turner, Shirley Butts, William “Bill” Nichols, Maxine Jeffers, David Nichols and Jackie Nichols.

She is survived by her children, Allen Bearden, Brian Bearden (Kristi) and Leta Goolsby (Wesley); grandchildren, Felicia Bearden, Rachel Camilleri, Katelyn Bearden, Karlee Bearden and Sophia Marie Bearden; great-grandchildren, Marie Bearden, Michael Bearden and Monica Bearden; sisters, Alma N. Kruger and Nina Eiland; best friends, Judy Starnes, Bonnie Bradberry and Betty Hill; and numerous other nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
