The Montevallo Bulldogs got off to a slow start, but rallied to take a 38-36 road victory over Class 3A, Area 8 foe Indian Springs.

Montevallo led for most of the second half and extended its lead to seven with just over two minutes remaining, but turnovers and timely free throw shooting allowed Indian Springs to close the gap to one. In the final minute, the Lady Bulldogs’ defense got a couple of key stops to hold off the late rally and pick up the win.

Myshael Thompson led Montevallo with 10 points, seven rebounds, and three blocked shots, while Savannah Upton added 10 points and six rebounds. Myia Farrington contributed seven points and seven rebounds.

Indian Springs’ Terri Ransome-Koti led all scorers with 14 points and 21 rebounds in a double-double.
