Albert John Silvani, age 84, of Alabaster, departed this earth on Dec. 31, 2012. Al is survived by his wife, Carolyn DiCamillo Silvani of Alabaster; son, Al of Crestview, Fla.; son, Mike of Phenix City; daughter, Lisa of Alabaster; son, Steve of Las Vegas, Nev.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Al lived a long, full and healthy life which included 26 years of dedicated military service to his country. Anyone wishing to express condolences may attend a celebration of life event at Al’s home from 2-5 p.m. on Jan. 3, 2013.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to The Wounded Warrior Project, P. O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675; Woundedwarriorproject.org. Al can rest in peace knowing he improved the lives of those he touched.
