Alabaster’s Shelby Baptist Medical Center will look to educate locals about heart health during a Jan. 25 “For the Sake of Your Heart” seminar.

During the seminar, physicians will discuss heart-related issues, such as heart disease and strokes, and will talk about ways to prevent strokes and heart-related diseases. Heart disease is the leading cause of death, according to hospital officials.

The seminar will be held from 9 a.m.-noon at the hospital’s Physician Center A, and will be presented by the Shelby Baptist cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation department.
