The Coosa Valley Rebels overcame a 3-point first quarter deficit and pulled away in the second quarter to claim a 62-37 victory over Bessemer Academy Jan. 8.

The Rebels trailed 17-14 at the end of the first, but scored 18 points in the second to take a 32-21 lead at the half.

Coosa Valley added 19 points in the third to seal the win.

Ryan Carroll led Coosa Valley with 17 points. Austin Braur scored 10 points and Rowe Frederick added eight points.
