Coosa Valley stuns Lyman Ward

The Coosa Valley Rebels rallied from a 16-point halftime deficit to hand  Lyman Ward their first loss of the season, 45-44, Jan. 10.

The Rebels trailed 30-14 at the half, but came out strong in the third quarter. Coosa Valley outscored Lyman Ward 15-4 in the quarter to cut the deficit to 34-29 heading into the fourth.

Coosa Valley carried the third-quarter momentum into the fourth to score 16 points to take the 45-44 road victory.

Ryan Carroll led the Rebels with 17 points. Alex Nelson added eight points and was perfect from the free throw line.
