The Spain Park Lady Jags improved to 2-0 in Class 6A, Area 8 play with a 54-35 home win over the Oak Mountain Lady Eagles Jan. 11.

Spain Park (14-7, 2-0) held the Lady Eagles to 13 points in the first half to take a 25-13 lead at the half. The Lady Jags added 19 points in the third quarter to pull away for the win.

Victoria Baldwin led Spain Park with 16 points while Ashley Gaston added 15 points. Denise Newton finished with 14 points.

Maiyah Lee led Oak Mountain (11-8, 1-1) with 10 points.
