Chelsea resident Gary Niven was recently named president of Argo Building Company.

Niven will replace Terry Argo, the company’s founder, who will become and chairman of the board and chief executive officer Feb. 24.

Niven began working with Argo Building Company in 1988.

“During that time, he has worked his way through the entire structure of Argo Building Company, his first duties being as a laborer and delivery representative,” stated a release from the company. “Over the course of his career, Mr. Niven has met every challenge at the company with skill and determination and exceeded the company’s expectations in every instance.”

Niven and his wife, Monica Brasher Niven, have been married for 21 years and are the parents of Brianna and Brantley Niven.
