The Calera Lady Eagles moved on to the Class 4A, Area 7 championship game easily with a 56-16 victory over West Blocton Feb. 7.

The Lady Eagles (18-8) jumped out to a 26-3 lead at the end of the first quarter and led 37-7 at the half.

Perri Duncan led Calera scorers with 12 points while Tyesha Haynes added 11 points. A’kia Harris added nine points for the Lady Eagles in the win.

Calera will take on Bibb County in the area championship game Feb. 9 at 3 p.m.
