The Indian Springs Village Town Council met at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall. All council members were present.

Motion to accept Jan. 3 meeting minutes as presented. Motion accepted.

Motion to endorse December financial report. Motion accepted.

Council held discussion about how to streamline business license process.

February 5, 2013

The Indian Springs Village Town Council met at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall. All council members were present.

Motion to accept Jan. 15 meeting minutes as presented. Motion accepted. Later in the meeting, Kathryn Harrington motioned to amend the minutes to reflect that she is investigating having a certified dam engineer inspect the dams at Oak Mountain State Park for safety. Motion accepted.

Motion to hold public hearing and vote on ordinance to adopt comprehensive flood damage and control ordinance to allow town to apply for and participate in National Flood Insurance Program. Public hearing was at the Feb. 19, 2013 council meeting. Motion accepted.

Motion to accept bid of $1,575 from tree specialist J.C. Gilliland to prune, remove dead trees and haul debris off Town Hall grounds. Motion accepted.

Motion to allow Jack Mendel to invest $900,000 from town’s general fund and $160,000 from 7-cent road fund in a 1 percent CD from Regions Bank. Motion accepted.
