Pelham edges Spain Park, 3-2

The Pelham Panthers scored in the final minutes to take a 3-2 home victory over the Spain Park Jaguars Feb. 26.
Spain Park’s Omar Hamid scored four minutes into the game to give the Jaguars an early 1-0 advantage.
That score stood until the Panthers (3-3-2) found the back of the net late in first half. Miguel Quijada put a corner kick into play and Conner Wilkins put the ball past the Spain Park keeper to tie the game 1-1 at the half.
The Jaguars quickly regained the lead with a goal just three minutes into the second half for a 2-1 edge.
Pelham tied the game 2-2 with 19 minutes to play when Jovany Saavedra scored off an assists from Ryan Tapley. The Panthers scored in the 79th minute when Tapley put a ball from Quijada into the net for the 3-2 victory.
