Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Lucas Jr. of Montevallo are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Cheryl Frances Lucas, to Ryan Brooks Tipton. Ryan is the son of Ms. Carol Roy of Alabaster and Mr. Steve Tipton of Calera.

Cheryl has a degree in radiologic technology and works as an x-ray technician for Baptist Imaging. Ryan has a degree in business administration from the University of Montevallo and is self-employed.

The couple will be wed on March 30, 2013, at the Sonnet House in Leeds.
