Spain Park defeats Oak Mountain

The Spain Park Jaguars scored six runs over the third and fourth innings to take an 8-3 victory over the Oak Mountain Eagles March 14.

Spain Park (10-7, 1-1) held a 2-1 lead after the second inning, and then scored four runs in the third and two in the fourth to propel them to the victory. The Jaguars’ win splits the season series against Oak Mountain.

Trey Hawker allowed three runs on six hits with five strikeouts and two walks in the win for Spain Park. Wesley Nail took the loss for the Eagles allowing two earned runs on two hits.

Peyton Walsh led Spain Park with a 2-for-3 effort with a double and three RBIs.

Heath Quinn led Oak Mountain batting 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored. Pierce Clarke added a 2-for-2 performance.
