Vincent holds on for win over Fayetteville

The Vincent Yellow Jackets were able to hold on to an early lead to pick up a 12-8 victory over Fayetteville March 14.

Vincent took an 8-2 lead after scoring five runs in the second inning. Fayetteville scored five runs between the third and fourth innings to cut the Yellow Jackets’ lead to 9-7. The Yellow Jackets outscored Fayetteville 3-1 over the last three innings to hold on to the win.

Michael Giliham pitched six innings and allowed four earned runs on seven hits in the win for Vincent. Matthew Swift picked up the save with a scoreless inning in the seventh.

Chase Howard led Vincent with two doubles, three RBIs and three runs scored while batting 3-for-4.
