Warriors edge Oak Mountain in seventh

The Thompson Warriors scored a run in the top of the seventh to take a 1-0 victory over the Oak Mountain Eagles March 30.
The Warriors (29-8) scored the lone run of the game when Trey Matherson hit a triple and scored on a sacrifice fly by Blake Grill to take the win.
Mason MacDougall pitched a 7-inning shutout allowing five hits with five strikeouts and two walks.
Grill led the Warriors batting 2-for-3 with a double and a RBI. Matherson finished 1-for-3 with a triple.
Jacob Bowman took the loss for Oak Mountain (14-12) allowing a run on six hits with two strikeouts and four walks. Heath Quinn led the Eagles batting 1-for-2 with a double.
