Calera soars past Marbury in sweep


The Calera Eagles softball team combined for 24 hits in a doubleheader sweep of Marbury April 22.

Calera scored six runs in the first inning to take game one 13-7. Kymber McGiboney went 3-for-3 with a home run and an RBI.

The Eagles (22-10-1) scattered nine runs across four innings to take a 9-3 game two victory over Marbury. Charley Clark led the way finishing 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Emily Sanders pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs on nine hits.
