Pelham police looking for runaway teen

The Pelham Police Department is requesting the public’s help in locating a 16-year-old girl who has been missing since April 15.

Police are trying to locate Karina Romero-Sanchez, who voluntarily left her residence on foot on April 15, according to a Pelham Police Department press release.

She was last seen in Calera, but she may be staying at different residence in the Calera-Montevallo area, according to police.

“Karina has also indicated that she wishes to be reunited with her parents in Mexico, and she may be seeking assistance traveling to Mexico,” read the press release, which noted Romero-Sanchez likely does not have a vehicle at her disposal.

Romero-Sanchez is 5-feet tall, weighs 95 pounds and has brown eyes and black hair.

“If you see or believe you see Romero-Sanchez, please contact your local law enforcement agency immediately and call the Pelham Police Department at (205) 620-6550,” read the release.
