Celebrate Hoover Day now from 1-5 p.m.

HOOVER — Inclement weather forecast for the morning of May 4 has caused Celebrate Hoover Day organizers to push the event time to later in the day.
The event will now be from 1-5 p.m., according to a press release from the city of Hoover.
Originally, Celebrate Hoover Day was set to be from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
The event will be at Veterans Park on Valleydale Road, and parking will be at Spain Park High School.
At 1 p.m., officials will dedicate veterans memorial pavers, while at 1:30 p.m. organizers will present and serve a giant apple pie with ice cream.
The event will also feature a kids zone, carnival rides, a car show, live entertainment, an exhibitor pavilion, document destruction and e-cycling, an American Red Cross blood drive and complimentary mini-services from the Aveda Institute.
