Janie Evelyn Baker, age 95, of Birmingham, passed away peacefully at Cherry Hill Nursing Home in Forestdale on Friday, May 3, 2013. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on May 8 at Columbiana City Cemetery with Rev. Rick Atkinson officiating. Bolton Funeral Home, Columbiana is directing.

Mrs. Baker is preceded in death by her parents, J. Frank Baker and Pearl Hughes Baker; sister, Mildred Baker Whitten; and brothers, Upton Baker and J.D. Baker. She is survived by her nephew, Frank Baker; great nephews, Kevin and Keith Kratz and F. Lee Baker; sister-in-law, Josephine Brown Baker; and her faithful friend and special caregiver, Mona Jacobs.
